So I went back to my old buddy "re.....r" today, guess what?
I missed X1 terribly! LOL I've gotten so used to this workflow, things docking, uncluttered, etc that reaper drove me nuts!. Biggest thing? Windows! OMgoodness I've got so used to dnd'ing my plug in windows to the dock. Yes, you can dock stuff in the reap but it's nowhere near the same. As many others have stated, if we can get past the bugs and some of the "wtbeep"s.... I smell muffins!

Oh, I love reaper. They are teh bestest in many ways.... It's just that x1 really DOES change everything. It's the most sexy, intuitive, "pick me" thing I've tried in quite some time. It was ICKY going back to all those windows and clutter (though it's still such a great program) Yes, stuff is dockable, but not in the efficient/clean/drag-drop way X1 is. (and no, I'm not touching 4 yet!!!!!) I'm almost done with the groove3 vids and almost everything works (too bad about that darn audio snap....grrrrrrr) One other thing too, I've basically gone to a single monitor thing in X1.......why do you need two LOL! It's nearly painless to use one monitor with X1. Reefer (lol to that btw!) NEEDS two monitors. For crying out loud, the bakers really have put some effort into this. It's really revolutionary in many ways. Now, about those bugs.....is the xmas/new years break over yet???????

Same here Chris.. I even got 4.0. alpha and I don´t see a big difference for now.. The only thing I really enjoy in reaper is prelistening in the mediabrowser.. other than that..... SONAR is sexy!

That's a neat cover, and will give X1 a nice boost. Maybe you could post that as a separate thread so more people can see it. I'd do it, but it's your find. Thanks for posting it. Randy B.
