So far, no crashes since X1b

Yeah - since donwloading the X1b update, I have been working for a few hours on a project with no crashes at all. Not too shabby ! But I imagine there are those that will warn me - the calm before the storm - or have others found improvement.

While I am on here, is there a way to set up the Control Bar so that input monitoring is by default not on during palyback unless I chose it? I found that even when click it off, and then go to somewhere else in the project to play back, it pops back on again - I am sure I am missing some simple factor.

Thanks !

You might be able to set that up in a Screen Set? Not sure.

I'm almost scared to say it,but, me too. I also used V-Vocal for a while today, and nothing bad happened. But, I'm not a power user,I'm a singer and the main use of X1 so far for me has been adding vocals to tracks that are sent to me, although I have done tracks recording too.

I'm liking it so far (I'm X1b). I don't know if it helped that I bought a brand new computer just to run X1 on...oh and I bought Scott Garrigus' book for a great price from Cakewalk, I got it via Fed Ex 3 days later...so hopefully that will help me get deeper into things, along with everybody here on the Forum.

ive been pushing it up..no probs here..matter of fact the crashes i had in x1or x1a with plug in are now history..and my gui is fluent as anything..before is was a bit choppy whaen i scrooled..only prblem im having now is in the track view with missing icons..once i scroll down about 10 tracks or so my icons are gone.if i click in the space were they are supposed to be they re-appear.i suppose i can live like that.other than my small icon problem.all is rock solid

I'm not sure if this is what you are after but there is a setting to disable input monitoring during playback in Edit-Preferences-Playback and recording.

Unfortunately I've gotten more crashes now than with X1a.
Here's an examples where it happened multiple times.

    1. Opened 2 projects and copied tracks from project A to project B. Close project A, Sonar crashes.

Had others but I don't know why they happened yet...

I've been almost totally crash free until last night and I had 4 or 5 crashes in a row when trying to insert Session Drummer 3. Tried a couple more actions and crashed again. Put it to bed and wondered about the video driver for no special reason. It had been a long time since I update it so I downloaded the latest NVidia driver and it's been stable all day.

Not sure if I can absolutely relate to two as cause and effect but that's my story.
