So if you have a new MCU Pro with Alps faders

Go get the update from Mackie. They have firmware version 4.0.3 on their site. They say it has a new "fader smoothing algorithm" and what do you know, they aren't lying! :D It seems to make the faders move near to their target and then nudge in to the final position. Net effect is they make less noise and get to where they are supposed to be more accurately. They also claim it enhances their reliability, though of course I can't vouch for that.
 
Worth going and getting. It is just a MIDI file that you play at it via Sonar (or anything else). I am pleased with the upgrade.
