So, please, when will be the demo version available??

I have been reading positive and negative comments on Sonar X1, but I would like to try X1 by myself before I decide whether I upgrade or not.

Can we get an exact date when the demo version will be released?
I hope CW have planned the demo release, so please give us the date.

Thank you.

Best Regards,
Marek

I'm guessing they won't release the demo until the first patch is available at the very least (some time week commencing 20th Dec apparently). My guess is it will be well into the new year.

    Welcome to the forum.

They've already said there will be a demo but no ETA given. surely its release will play second fiddle to getting the full release as good as possible.

Even then if SONAR 8.01 (not 8.3.1 or 8.5.3) is any indication (That was the last demo) the demo was not based on the last update but the first and it took well over 4, maybe 5 months after release to deliver. Don't hold your breath. Demos usually have a 2 release cycle from what I remember.

I still think it's done backwards .. in a more respectable world, the demo should come first. It would certainly minimize negative feedback and getting a ****load of constructive ones.

Hmmm .. just noticed the word S-H-I-T got somehow replaced with **** .. WOW .. we really are in a respectable world ... my apologies.

    Thanks for the warm welcome.

I'd probably just get the essential version if I could be sure it'd recognise my old Ensoniq TS-12 using just a midi cable to connect. Tried it with Apple's garageband (but not an apple fan) and it recognised it right away, so reckon it'd work fine with Logic. Checked out Cubase's trial and it would not recognise it at all.

Anyone got any ideas on this?
