So... "Floating" Guitar Presets?

When X1 came out, the Guitar Rig presets for Cori Yarckin's "Floating" didn't work. Has there been any update on this? It seems like it would be a simple manner of just posting the presets somewhere so we can import them into guitar rig ourselves if we wanted...

Or if not, has anyone found good guitar rig presets that sound "close" to the final track?

I received an e-mail from Cakewalk announcing that Native instruments had indeed released an update for Guitar Rig 4.

However when I clicked at the place indicated it took me to a "log in" web page asking for a password !! what password !!

The username was filled in as "my domain"  I couldn't get past that page to the update. I also could not get it to send "my password" to my e-mail address or register myself as a new customer.

What am I doing wrong? any ideas anyone?? I know I'm probably doing something wrong.

You need to download their special "NI Service Center" software and create an account through there. You can get it from https://co.native-instrum...ates#NI_Service_Center

But I've installed all the latest Guitar Rig patches and the plugins in "Floating" still come up blank.

I've tried futzing around with some random settings for the tracks, but I haven't been able to get anything that sits just right. It seems obvious that the distortions were specially tuned for the song, which is why I'm so interested in seeing the "official" settings.

Have you tried playing it really, really loud? A lot of the "feel" of a good live guitar amp comes from its raw volume (and the perceptive effects that volume causes).

Though to be honest, I like the sound of my modeling guitar pedal re-amped through a clean driver (a Tech 21 power engine 60) rather than just playing through my monitors directly. So perhaps there is some extra magic that a real guitar cabinet adds to it.

I can see things where the date has changed to today (digital sound factory content for sound center & rapture, X1 explained sample) but nothing that appears to be Floating ...

    Any ideas?

The two DSF downloads dated today are identical to the ones I have dated 02/24/2011.

Plus, I don't think the demo projects had anything to do with the DSF goodies anyway.

Whatever the case, I don't see Floating in my account either.

    Cheers

Hi Zyler, i logged in in to e-store and im a registered x1 customer, i don't see the "New" Corey Yarkin song there, the only new things with todays dates are: Digital Sound Factory Free Cakewalk Sound Center Instruments Examples Pack, Digital Sound Factory Free Rapture Examples PC and Free SONAR X1 Explained sample video.
I don't see the Corey Yarkin song demo anywhere?
    Thanks for the help.

Wow that new version is really great and I know a lot of you are familiar with such complex pieces but I for one am amazed at the automation, volume and panning and delay and reverb automation and background vocals and piano pieces and drums and wow. I'm still working on my first complete tune so this is at once inspiring and intimidating. Thanks for posting this much better version.

A very different version from what came with X1. Very interesting. I always like to load up the demo songs just to see what is going on. Also I like to see how others set up Sonar. I also load up the old demos from the past versions and see if all is well with them. One way to test the new release without messing with anything important. LOL

Now that I hear the GTR 4 presets for this song I am not sure I like the sound of them (I have GTR 4 full version).

I have an orchestral piece I have been working on for a long time. It has a bunch of stuff in it. As time has gone on I keep tweaking it with each new version of Sonar. Its close to being almost done. But then its been in that state for a long time.
