So what are the top requests?
Is anyone at Cakewalk or any forum mod totaling the votes? It would be great if there was a sticky that tracked the top feature requests so that Cakewalk and the community could see what they are. Critical mass could be obtained, focus could be realized, and we might get some things we want... the most important things.

Hi Chance- I don't know how CW uses the feature requests, but you can see them in rating order. Go to the top-level Features & Ideas page where the threads are listed. At the bottom of the page you can set the date filter and then sort by "Rating DESC." -Susan

A good arrange system like cubase/S3 is becoming crucial to me... and everyone on that thread says it's their #1 need/desire... I would sacrifice all the other possible improvements for this alone... rearranging parts sucks... it is a part of composing/songwriting/recording...

I request for : A. A CHORD Track - to enter chords from keyboard(QWERTY) or MIDI B. Midi Track - option populate from Chord Track [options : a Lane to define INVERSION, a Lane to define Key range, Right Click Option - CONTINUE COMMON NOTESC. Midi Track - A Lane - insert pattern [.mid / .riff] - populate from Midi Track A and B may be single instance and Track C type can be multiple. Lastly on track type C - right Click option - HUMANIZE (with a popup slider for degree of Humanization) Regards Snehankur

Hi Snehankur- The best way to get votes for Feature Requests is to enter each as a separate thread in this forum so people can vote on them individually. It's also a good idea to search first to see if one of your FRs has already been posted so the votes aren't split between duplicate requests. For example, there's a FR here for a Chord Track: http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3160700 It may or may not be the same as what you're looking for, but if it's similar enough you can add your vote instead of starting a new thread. The forum search function isn't very good, but I found the above Googling: site:forum.cakewalk.com chord track @Vastman & Notecrusher: I use FL Studio for composing/arranging because it's so darn easy to put down/move around ideas. This might also be my #1 request now ! Thanks- -Susan

Notecrusher Susan, So the FLS playlist functions like the arranger track in Studio One?
Hi Chance- Not exactly, based on what I can tell from the S1 video. The playlist in FLS has "tracks," but they're not populated automatically with anything, so you can put any pattern (or "clip," if you like) anywhere. A single track could hold any number of MIDI or audio clips or automation envelopes, etc. It's been called a "canvas," which I think is an apt description. It's very easy to replace one pattern with another or just use multiple tracks to hold pattern variations. FLS is a pattern-based sequencer, so it's different from a linear sequencer (or what I think Presonus calls a "time-based sequencer") because for one thing, the "sound generator"- whatever that might be- is in the Channel Rack and not associated with a track in the Playlist at all. For example, if you have 4 bass patterns you want to try out using the same bass sound, you can put each in a separate track in the Playlist without having to duplicate the sound generator. I don't know if that helps at all ! You can always download the FLS demo and check it out. -Susan

Thx Susan. I have the FLS demo. Now that I have some time I'll install and play w/ it to see if it works for me.
