So with regards to peak limiters, particularly Concrete limiter, and Waves L1 and L2

What sort of thoughts do you have if you've tried them? In particular, I already own the concrete limiter (Cakewalk's prochannel module), would there be any reason to get L2 from Waves? If so, how do you feel it is better/different?

Thanks.

The L1 and L2 are good Limiters...

They do add some color...but they are great at what they do...
They are also different then the CL from Cake...

So I'd try the demo's and see if it's something that would work for you...

I'm mostly trying to decide if there's any reason to get the L2. The L1 is part of a pack I decided to buy, so I'll have that. However the L2 is on sale today, but is still fairly pricey. Trying to decide if there is any reason to go after it, or not.

Waves is not very useful at telling you what makes them different. I think they presume that you are ok with "Bigger numbers = bettar than!" logic :).

I like Toneboosters Barricade better than L1/L2 in most situations.  Cheaper, too.  And now with a brand-new shiny GUI!

L1/L2 are good  but I don't find them to be better than Concrete Limiter.  Just different. I tend to use  CL on my busses and barricade on master

I'm anxiously awaiting the new version of the free W1 limiter. I was so impressed by it that I used it for years on my video productions. Wasn't the prettiest plugin (although a third party made a gui for it) but it just worked

Looking forward to this release as well. Just pulled the trigger on the concrete limiter / cyber monday sale.
