SofTube Mix Bundle

I have been trying to find out what happened to the SofTube Mix Bundle that used to be available for X1. It still shows up as an optional add-on, until you try and buy it. Maybe I am missing something but I find no information about Cakewalk dropping it either on the web site or in this forum. If they dropped it then they should take it off the Buy Now list.

When it was available did anyone use it? Did it create problems and that's why it was dropped? Just curious.

    Check the Softube site http://www.softube.com/bundles.php

It was mentioned in a thread once that the PC skins comes with it IIRC. Perhaps someone with a better memory can confirm

Softube startedd running their own sale when the Cake special died (it had been extended a couple of times).  Back at the time of the original post, Softube wasn't even carrying the mix bundle - they had separated out everything and had one of those "the more you buy the more you save" specials.  They are selling the mix bundle through 3rd parties, but alas, not Cakewalk.

I do know they are offering the softube softknob free now, but only forAvid.  Softube seems to be all over the place these days.  I'd grab what I can cause who knows when it will change again.

The reverb is a very good addition if you don't have any other 3rd party reverbs for SONAR.  I also really like the focusing EQ.  It is quick to get a good sound.  Many of the others in the package are pretty much covered w/ SONAR Pro - fet comp and EQs.  Not that softube's offerings aren't good, it is just that SONAR includes similiar stuff.

Plus you got the "iLok" thing, which some people hate. It works fine for me.
