Soft As Ice

OK here is the last song from my album to be from 2011 Soft as ice (#11). I hope you don't want me to sing it again you know it takes a lot of whiskey to accomplish such a voice. Any comments are welcome. https://soundcloud.com/egon1/soft-as-ice

Well, I like this. Given its an old song, I suspect you are not planning on much more work on it, but it needs a bit of clearing up in the vox and more crystal in the highs IMO. Fairly minor stuff actually. Enjoyed that a lot.

Eko - song is interesting, I like it.

the mix needs a lot of work, tho, IMO.  vocals are too hot and sound like they have a lot of room recorded with them.  there's a squeek on something that's really bad.

mix is muddy and needs some clarity between the instruments.

guitar playing is very good!  but the recording/tone could use some work.

    cool work!  keep it up!

Would like to have lead singer in the middle. No he's a bit to the right.

eko, this is somewhat different than your other songs, and that is why I enjoy your songs.  Others have noted about the mix, and they have valid points.  Yet, this is not far from being stellar.  In this tune, I like the f/x on your vocal, though I'd experiment with the wet/dry blend.  The performances are so good that a few tweaks will elevate this to the top.

    All the best,
    Lynn
