Soft Wind

Hi,
Time to share a little piece of music...
I have to admit that the lyrics are..poor but...I don't find any excuse..
Guitar an bass have been played straight forward ,I was unable to play twice the same thing.
The synth(which sounds in some ways like a dentist tool) is Z3ta2.
And....Thank you for listening..
And sorry for not being active enough in this place.
All the best.
Olivier.

    Hi Olivier.

I really enjoyed listening to this, so laid back but with a hint of "edge" to it due to the guitar phrasing.

    Olivier,

Vraiment comme cette piste. Très agréable d'écouter et me ramène à une époque plus simple lorsque les groupes instrumentaux des années 1960 étaient populaires. Le jeu, l'arrangement et mix sont tous exceptionnels.

Thanks a lot Lynn for your comment.
By the way I have to tell you ,not personally, but to all of the comments I get here that I'm really humbled by the kindness I do find here. Actually I'm not sure of the accuracy of the terms( I googled the expression,if I go in french it means:" je suis réellement trés touché et trés impressioné par la nature des commentaires que je reçois ici.") some of you typing in french and any of you giving me positive sayings.
So thank you Lynn and thanks to this place members.
I will take the time to answer to everyone but you all know that time goes fast.
    Cheers.

Boy I was sure hoping you were going to bring in that big ride cymbal, and the congas. Tasty!!!

The first section with the clicky ticky hi-hat? going tick-tick-tick-tick, I think you could lower its volume, and get some deeper reverb on it.  ?

Snare up would be my vote.

This was friggin cool, really nice tune!

Thank you to compare me to Air ,though I'm not a such aware of their work.
Actually I have two mentors when it comes to music who are Kate Bush and Pat Metheny( maybe a matter of age and location...) ,then are coming the Masters:John Coltrane and others.

    Hello Olivier,
Thanks for the correction. I thought about adding the 'e' but I (wrongly) thought that since the verb was 'avoir' and not 'être', feminizing the verb wouldn't apply in this case. Live and learn :) I won't make that mistake again, just thousands of others!

Maybe something of the sixties .
It was not purposely, things came out this way.
But I think we " hear" things that we already heard .(I mean I'm not sure we invent a melody,I think we pick it in our memoriie)
    Thanks again.

    Hi Laura,
Well a little bit touchy....I am not french teacher.
Actually ,you are right, but french people are complicated,so there is a rule which says: ( there are starting problems for me) that when the object( in this case: you( m')) is placed before the auxiliary then the participe should follow the genre of the object.....
Sorry ,sorry, I'm aware this place is not meant to discuss about languages specificities.

    Cheers.

Very cool and I agree with Dan, I like the slinky sound and feel to this song.  The "dentist tool" sound really complements the sound in this song.  While reading your description, I thought it would not fit in with the song but once hearing it I believe that it sets up a nice but soft edgy feel in the sections in which it is used.

Hello Fred, thank you for your comment.
Actually I had to meet the dentist during the recording and it can explain my feelings about this filtered Z3ta. ( though some sounds by the dentist are quite interesting ,not totally joking)

Very nice, Olivier... I enjoyed that.  The contrast between the ultra smooth (and clean) guitar and more electronic-y rhythm section + dentist drill worked well.

I also enjoyed this smooth jazzy groove Olivier......very nice guitar tone and bass. The drums also were very nice and crisp. Lowering the synth a tad bit might help in highlighting the guitar (speaketh a fellow guitarist :)) while not distracting from the rest of the instruments......of course, this is just my take on it.

    Bonjour Olivier,
Je n'aurais jamais pensé à combiner une guitare jazz avec le Z3TA, mais ça marche très bien comme ça. J'aime beaucoup le chanson, et vous l'avez très bien joué.
    Amicalement,
    Bjorn

I would never have thought about combining a jazz guitar with the Z3TA
but it worked quite well to do so.  I really like the song and you played it very well.
