Not sure how this "50% off" sale is supposed to work...... (It says the more you buy, the more you save.....so, just to see if I could actually get 50% off) I tried putting all the items that were marked 50% into my basket and the maximum I could save was only 34%....(the site has a calculator that shows the $$ amount & percentage you're saving). I'm probably just missing something on how this 50% off sale works....

Their plugs are VERY good. The CL1B is legendary. Got my eye on the TSAR.

Kroneborge I've never used any of there stuff, is it any good? Great software & company, check out a demo or two. They've also developed the saturation feature for the expanded X1 release.

Hey Mesh ol pal. They always have a "buy more get a bigger discount" thingy going in their web shop and this must also apply to the sale. If you'll check you can see that some plugs are 50% off, some 40% off, some 30% off...etc... The TSAR, for instance is 40% off. I've already called my guy at Sweetwater to see if they can get it even lower. Yum!

Nice move yoropal! I have a no i-lok policy and it has saved me lots of money but I can feel my resolve dissolving. Angel on shoulder "Must stay focused", bad Devil on other shoulder "resistance is futile".

Hey Olpal...I saw all the different percentages (50, 40, & 30% off). I guess my point is at what point does it reflect that you're getting the 50% off deal? (That's why I only picked every single plug advertised at 50% off (put them in my basket) as I wanted to see how many plugs I had to buy to reach 50%).....but still couldn't get past 34%.

I do wonder though because I already have a UAD 1, and would really like to get a UAD 2 quad next. I've admit to having a bit of lust for the tape plugins and the manley EQ. Still, I wouldn't want to be anti social. I mean if all the cool kids have one, then shouldn't I? Although I confess since I got the Izotope Alloy (I think that's what it's called it's basically a channel strip). I've been using that a lot, and other stuff not as much. It's just so convienant. And I love the fact that it's got a graphical EQ. Yes I know use my ears, yada yada yada. Still it can be helpful for us novices to get a visual represenstation. Especially if you don't have a killer sub setup.

That's odd Mesh. When I went to their web shop each plug was listed with its new discounted price and the percentage off that was. The TSAR, for instance, was $197/40% off. In other words the $197 was the discounted 40% price...it's usually $329. Sweetwater normally sells the plug for $299 (a 10% reduction). So they can now sell the TSAR until Oct. 16th for $178 (which is what I paid). I'm not sure how you loaded up all %50 percent plugs in your shopping cart and only got a %34 discount...UNLESS it was 34% less than the already discounted sale prices. That would make sense. If you're really interested in getting the absolute best deal on the Softube plugs during the sale contact Sweetwater or any other web dealer for the Softube stuff.

I got to say, I was trying that Trident A-Range EQ, and I'm really liking the sound.

Yup...The A Range EQ is mighty special. I demoed both the Softube and the UAD when they both came out and, although I'm a UAD fan, went with the Softube. It is very nice. And a great deal to boot!

Thanks Olpal...I totally misunderstood. I thought the $197 price was the original and not the already discounted price....my bad!! Ok....so, the word is these are really good plugs and the prices are just off the hook!!

Just an FYI for any other Softubers here: I've discovered an odd anomaly with my new TSAR1 reverb and the Softube ARange EQ. I can load the TSAR1 into any project...even one already containing an ARange no probs. But I cannot load and ARange into any project that already has an instance of TSAR1 in it. I get the plug not found or won't load dialog. The workaround, of course, is to always load ARange first. I've contacted Softube and should hear back from them tomorrow. They are very prompt.

the new pro-channel thing add-on , has anything to do with them? rings a bell.. I'd prefer to buy fx as vst's rather than bolt on's that I can't use elsewhere

Cool, I will probably do that this weekend. Although at least I didn't have any problems with the 32 bit unlike some other software (UAD, Soundtoys etc).
