Softube updates all plugins v2.0

Version 2.0 released
November 2013
 
Today we've released version 2.0 of all of our plug-ins, with lots of improvements and AAX 64-bit support.
Softube version 2.0—the CPU savings list!


Below you will find a list of our plug-ins and their approximate change in CPU usage in version 2.0 compared to the previous version. The published figures are for using the plug-ins in stereo and at 44.1kHz sample rate. Real life usage may differ slightly from these figures depending on platform, host, processor type and other variables.
Acoustic Feedback: -15%
Active Equalizer: -38%
Bass Amp Room: -36%
FET Compressor: -15%
Focusing Equalizer: -36%
Metal Amp Room: -10%
Passive Equalizer: -22%
Spring Reverb: -19%
Summit Audio TLA-100A Compressor: -28%

    Here's the thing.....

    They COULD have charged for this upgrade, as it IS a full version change.
    They did not.  That, to me, says a PLETHORA about Softube, and OTHER
    companies should take note.

    Thanks.  Got the email also.  Anyone know if this update will update the Softube modules in the ProChannel?

    What's also cool about softube is that they go about their business and release very good software without pomp, circumstance and hyperbole.

    I tried updating and everything was good until I tried to open a project. Crash every time. I think it may be the inclusion of the AAX version of the plugs Sonar doesn't use. Couldn't find a way to update without the inclusion of the AAX versions. I'm back to the older versions for now.

    I had a problem with the new update also, but mine was my ILok2, or absence thereof.  Sonar would spit up error messages for all instances of Softube's Mix Bundle.  Then I realized that I did not have my ILok on that computer at the monent.  So I just uninstalled the Softube and all is well.  I have not tried yet to install the update on my studio DAW, but will in the next couple of days.

    Does anyone know if these updated versions include the Softube Mix Bundle's ProChannel versions? I'm wondering if these are the FX versions only.

    Two internal 2TB SSDs laptop stuffed with Larry's deals and awesome tools. Studio One is the cat's meow as a DAW now that I've migrated off of Sonar. Using BandLab Cakewalk just to grab old files when migrating songs.

    Does anyone know if these updated versions include the Softube Mix Bundle's ProChannel versions? I'm wondering if these are the FX versions only.

    I just reinstalled the 2.0 update, and yes it installs the Prochannel modules from the Mix Bundle.  I don't have my Ilok on this computer right now, so don't know much else.  Just wanted to see if the ProChannel modules would be installed.  So, Yes to your inquiry.

    Does this apply if you only have the stock Sonar PE?
