Solitude

I just finished this one tonight 4/24/13 and it 2:02 in the morning and I'm tired, but wanted to get this up for you all to check out. I think I have the mix balanced out pretty good, but if you hear anything in the mix that you think the song needs, please let me know. I always appreciate your quality comments. Thanks in advance.

Peace and blessings, John

John , I see your  keeping my kind of hours

I like what I heard , in your description you mentioned this was made for a video . I caught  an audio only file .
I did like the way everything sounded , all the themes moved along very nicely ..
this time of night I cant play it loud , but it sounded good for sure ...mostly loops or a mixture ?
    very good

Kenny, Yes, those long nights can wear you out for sure. I do the make for a video music, yes, but not just for video only. It is like my dream, old man that I am to have my music in a film or in video or games, but, now that I am retired, I just do it for fun and to have something to do. In reality, I do this so I can post my messages with each song, maybe someone will get the message. Let's just say, I'm planting seeds, hoping someone else will come along and water. Thanks for the compliments and the  listen, they are much appreciated.

    Peace and Blessings, John

My goodness you are certainly prolific, John, and apparently without sacrificing quality.  I very much enjoyed listening to this uplifting piece.  Very clean, crisp mix for a guy who should have been out on his feet

Lynn, Thanks again  for listening and for the very nice compliments. I hope I'm not wasting and talents, because I thank the Lord for them everyday. I just do this for fun and enjoyment, otherwise I would put a price tag on each work. I like to look at it as planting seeds, because when you go to the song I post, there is a little seed message with each song. Once you read it my job is done, then it's in the Lords hands. So, that is why  I do all this work, not for me but for the world to enjoy and get on the right band wagon.

Peace be with you. Blessings, John

Phil, Thanks for the very nice compliments and glad you enjoyed this mix. This was one of my more complex creations and took awhile to get everything in the right spot. The mastering was done in Izotope Ozone 5 and in Sony Sound Forge with some custom presets that I have created for my music mastering and saved. They seem to do the job pretty good. Thanks again for listening, much appreciated.

The really really low bass/white noise energy is difficult to do well without impacting other elements, and to my ears this piece does a superlative job in a big complex mix--thanks for posting this! The structure is intriguing--I hear these episodes separated by very short synth noise sweeps as sort of 'instant transition'.

Because of the title and liner notes, I'm sorely tempted to think that these different themes have a specific meaning for the composer, that they related to a sequence of experiences actually lived through or imagined.

I find myself listening to it for leitmotiv's, trying to figure out what each one means in the extra-musical context. This music is definitely telling a story...I just don't know the actual details.

     Hi John,

This music would certainly fit very well into a video. I enjoyed the listen. I didn't really hear anything that particularly stood out as a nit on the music. Being that this is a music for film piece I wasn't listening for a verse/ chorus. Has an upbeat relevant feel to it without being rocky or too lethargic. Just enough to hold interest during a video.

Plenty of interesting sounds and well thought out arrangements in these pieces. It would be great to see/hear this with a video.

    thanks for sharing.

drma173, Thanks for listening and your comment and compliment. Drums are good for the piece, it's not hip/hop or rage, but orchestration with a statement and a few twists. Sometimes you want the drummer to just lay back so other point of interest can be referenced. You can always download it and bring the drums up for your own listening pleasure. Thanks again.
