Solo ?
Hi Everyone , I have 2 questions i am wondering if someone can help? 1) is it possible to some how audition a audio sample or midi > at now time > in track view > Quickly ? without having to solo other things ? 2) saying no to question 1 brings me to question 2 , if i have say 5 tracks soloed> and 2 tracks muted , so 7 tracks , now i want to audtion 1 of the soloed tracks > is there a way to do this easy ? because if i hit global mute > then unmute the track i want to solo > it works however > then when i global un mute i have to manually mute the 2 tracks that were muted !! Any suggestions on this is much much appreciated, hopefully theres something

You could try selective solo. There is also a dim solo too. Selective solo works as a single solo that when you solo a track it will automatically unsolo one that was soloed. Dim solo will lower the volume of the other tracks that are not soloed. The amount can be set by the user.

To question 1: Select the clip you want to hear and press shift + space. This is the default shortcut for "audition" a clip. Now time marker jumps to the start of the clip and plays back only that clip.

You can also try the scrub tool (hold J) and sweep over the audio in a single track, or swipe the timeline for all unmuted tracks in that region.
Not sure if scrub tool works on MIDI though, not tried that myself.

Yes, it works on Midi, provided of course the Midi track is connected to a soft synth.
