Solo problem with Drum maps

Hi there,

When I start out on a project I will often start out just using TTS-1 to get basic drums and backing going.  One I get a rudimentary song going I will then remap the parts to more specific instruments.  For the drums I usually set up a drum map that maps the standard kit items to SD3 or Steven Slate, and the Percussion I usually keep mapped to TTS-1.  The map works fine, but when I use split outputs this way and solo a single drum like the snare - audio channel (which I can certainly see and hear in the mix) I get no output.  I can solo one of the busses, to hear those drums but I cannot solo a single channel.  As a workaround I can solo individual notes in the PRV but really this in not how I like to work.

Has anyone come across this?

Cheers

Grif

Steve, this is a known bug with drum maps. Once inserted you lose the Ability to solo or mute individual notes/tracks. My workaround is to have all the audio tracks and the midi track in one 'drums' folder, then you can solo the entire folder and then the mute/solo buttons in the prv work as expected. Apologies for lack of punctuation

^ Wow, never thought there was a bug although I use drum maps 100% of the time. MIDI track>Custom drum map>Superior Drummer>Individual tracks>Busses Is this the reason why if I want to hear my Snare Top track and solo it I don't hear it, until soloing the Snare Bus too? Not a problem (still only hear snare top so it's fine) but I thought this was just how it works. I was used to something like this in ProTools, where you have to use 'solo safe' to bypass this effect and automatically hear audio through related channels when soloing one.

    Thanks mate,

Good to know I wasn't imagining it - do you know if this is a reported bug, or should I report it anyway?  The SD# TTS-1 map is popular for me - the percussion sounds re quite usable, especially when they are secondary to a "normal" drum kit.

I started a thread awhile back where I asked people to join in on reporting the problem (along with me).

Quite a few did but one more report could not hurt.
