Solstice:Old Tune new Video
I just completed work on a video for one of my older tunes. I've been working trying to learn a bit about CG art and etc. This is a smooth jazz tune I recorded way back in 2003-4 There are a few things I would do differently now with the arrangement but I am more interested in working on some of my newer material next. Hope you enjoy.

An interesting CG video Tom. Did you create this? The modelling and everything? There's a lot going on there and I'm sure I missed a lot of stuff as things changed with time. Tune was cool... Nice playing, both sax and guitar.

Nice! Tune sounded good and appropriate for the genre - don't get much sax around these parts. And the rendering suited it fairly well I think. I never really thought about combining the two, but I like it.

Very cool smooth jazz tune (performance/mix)......David Sanborn meets Chet Atkins. :)) Enjoyed this groovin' piece!! I noticed our DAW's are very similar....do you game on yours or is that super impressive video card for video editing?

Thanks. Yes I did all the 3d modeling and such. Glad you enjoyed it. stevec Nice! Tune sounded good and appropriate for the genre - don't get much sax around these parts. And the rendering suited it fairly well I think. I never really thought about combining the two, but I like it.
Thanks. I've been looking for ways to expand the exposure of my music and the desire to make music videos comes from that. Plus it keeps me out of trouble. Thanks. Glad you liked it. I don't do any gaming just got the cards for rendering animation and video editing. My wife is not thrilled that I now have another expensive hobby. daryl1968 Very cool Tom - great playing and enjoyed the video - it must have taken some time and planning?
Thanks Daryl. It took about 8 months start to finish with this video. I lost a lot of time due to a motorcycle accident and broken clavicle. Still my first video took about 2 years to complete as I was just learning how to model etc. Also there is character animation in it which took a while to figure out. I may have to re render the first project since I now have a better video card and can do things I couldn't do with the old one. You can see the first music video on my YouTube link in my sig.

Thanks Larry and Bob. At this point I'm thrilled to be able to share the video. The song was originally recorded mixed etc way back in 2003-4. I had fun pulling out the lead sheet and practicing the solo so I could video a sync of the performance. I'm enjoying both making music and creating the video to present the performance.
