[Solved] Adding lyrics also adds notes

Hello All-

I have a frustrating problem in entering lyrics in staff view. Sometimes I get a thing going that whenever I try to move from note to note by either hitting the space bar or using a hyphen (for a multi-syllabic word), new notes are entered that double all the current notes on that beat or semi-beat. This makes the chord look like a "cluster", and the new double notes need to be removed manually in PRV. This can happen suddenly for no apparent reason on a track that heretofore was behaving just fine while entering lyrics. The staff view "lyrics" button is depressed, and the lyrics zone is active.

Moving between notes using the mouse pointer works okay, but this is very slow. Also, even within the same project not all tracks display this problem. One track does the doubling while another track allows free movement. I have even created a new track, and then cut the events from the "bad" track into the new track and "fixed" the problem that way.

I have played with changing all the note display resolutions and snap settings etc. I could find, but to no avail. Restarting Sonar does not help, either.

Suggestions welcome!

Before entering lyrics try bouncing the track to one clip.

Bouncing to a single clip worked! I would not have guessed to try that in a million years, although I was close...I had multiple track lanes that I moved to a single lane hoping that would help, but it never occurred to me to bounce to a single clip.

Thinking back to my "solution" of creating a new track and copying the events from the bad track to the new track, I bet I bounced to a single clip to make the copy easier, and that is what really helped me...not the new track.

    Thanks Scook!
