##Solved## Advice on how to open a CD drive tray please.

The tray of the Blu-Ray/DVD/CD drive in my computer won't budge - it's locked shut with a DVD inside.

I've tried rebooting to kill off anything that might be freezing it up, and I've even done a System Restore as I updated CyberLink Power DVD earlier today to see if that was the problem.

The weird thing is the drive isn't showing up in any of my disc playing programs, in 'Computer', or even in the Device Manager.

My PC is still under guarantee so I'll get it fixed somehow but does anyone have any idea how to get the tray open to see if the DVD is the cause of the problem?

Thanks.

Unfold a paper clip. There should be a tiny hole by the tray that unlocks it.

Thanks 'Olpal - that did it

Everything's back to normal so I'm guessing the DVD about West Indies fast bowlers (cricket) will be winging its way back to Amazon tomorrow.

Bayoubill (note the honourable mention) would see this as THE computer upgrade to end all upgrades.

Actually thinking about it he probably has the Blu-Ray version with extra toppings already.

Or an recording engineer.

I can never tell the difference unless the smell of pizza and mint juleps are in the air.
