[Solved] Anderton CA-X Guitar Pedalboards Silences Track

Craig or anyone else, using Sonar Platinum CA-X Guitar Pedalboards FX Chain, any pedalboard that I use that has a "fuzz" button won't pass audio. If I disable the "fuzz" button audio passes minus the fuzz as expected. My best guess is that I removed one of the plugins that the Fx Chain uses but I have no idea which? Any ideas?

System: HP Pavilion 450t. Windows 10 Home x64, Intel i7 870: 2.93 Ghz, 8G RAM - NVIDIA GeForce GT 610

Midi Controller: Presonus FaderPort
Midi Keyboard: M-Audio Axiom 49

From previous posts I believe this happens when you do not have the included TH2 installed (which needs to be downloaded from Overloud's site).

Basically the CA amps use TH2 so if it's not available the FX chain does things like this.

    Cheers.

Beepster's right. However I do believe that if you have TH3, it will replace TH2 automatically in the FX chains.

You are not the first person to have this happen and it's frustratingto me. I haven't had this happen, so I can't troubleshoot the problem to find out what's wrong.

Hmm, I have both TH2 Producer and TH3 Cakewalk installed. I'll try a re-install and see if that helps.

I doubt that it will, but give it a try and install TH2 in whatever location it wants. I wish I could give you a better answer...

Yeah, you're right, it didn't solve my problem. TH2 producer passes sound on its own just fine and when used with a newly created fx chain, but not when it's used on any of the older stock fx cahins, Anderton's or otherwise.

Do you have any custom installation paths going on? Like either the sims or the CA Amps or maybe even Sonar itself?

Sounds like the CA Amp chains just can't find TH2/3.

Also, and this one's for Craig, do I recall you releasing an update to some of the earlier amp chains you released? It was a long time ago but I seem to remember some issues being reported and you providing a fix. I could be thinking of something else though.

Maybe OP is running an older incarnation of the Amp Chains?

Hmmm...good point. twoifbysea, try downloading the most recent Anderton Collection for the CCC and see what happens.

I did a reinstall of the pedals yesterday to no avail. And yes I do have a custom install path. I will try installing TH2 to the Sonar default when I get home tomorrow. Thank you for the ideas.

Aha...that's why I said "install TH2 in whatever location it wants." Hopefully that will make a difference...fingers crossed.

It looks like TH2 doesn't install anymore with the boutique fx bundle. For me it installs the VST3 version of TH3 in the expected VST3 folder path Common Files/VST3/Overloud.

That, in theory, should work anyway based on Craig's earlier post (the Chains will load the TH3 models automagically or sumthin' instead of TH2).

Check it out and see if it works.

The TH3 installing from a the Boutique Suite (instead of TH2) is a whole 'nother ball of wax so I'll not pontifimicate on that just now.

    Cheers.

That was the fix. Not sure why I didn't try that in the first place. Thank you all.
