Solved: Audio Snap

I did a search for Audio Snap in the Sonar forum but it pulled up no results although it's hard to believe this question has not yet been asked.

Has anyone been able to retain Audio Snap function since upgrading to X3? It seems it was last available to me in Sonar 8PE. I have X3 installed but I also have 8PE installed on my computer however I can only access Audio Snap through Sonar 8PE. It is not available if I'm using X3.

I'm thinking that Audio Snap has now been replaced by Melodyne. However it appears that only Melodyne's upgraded version allows you to alter/correct timing issues and Cakewalk is encouraging us to purchase the upgraded Melodyne. I can still use V-Vocal in X3 as a Region FX but Audio Snap did not transfer over from older versions of Sonar like V-Vocal did and it is no longer even an option although it's still available for use in my Sonar 8PE version on the same computer.

I suppose I can open 8PE when I want to use Audio Snap and then import the resulting file into X3 when I'm finished editing the file however it would be much easier to use Audio Snap from X3 if it is possible.

Is Audio Snap now a "lost" feature that can not be used anymore in X3 or is there a way to get it to work?

Thanks,
Pete

Well there it is, plain as day.

Thanks scook.  I also just realized there's 2 different search fields where you enter a search phrase after entering into the Sonar forum. Obviously it's more productive if you use the upper search field instead of the lower one.

Thanks again.
