[Solved] Bounce to track

Having trouble with this feature in X1.  Two (sometimes three) tracks that I want to combine into one track.  Usually Sonar Power X1 by Scott Garrigus answers my question but not this time.  Searched this forum on this subject and one person had this problem but the replies did not address my problem.  I'm selecting the measures and tracks.  THen tracks/bounce to tracks/ then in the dialog box choosing stereo, entire mix, none(dithering), fast bounce.
After mixing down, a single, new track is created but there's nothing there.  Please help!!!

When you say "there's nothing there", do you mean no clip at all, or you get a clip but the signal is a flatline? And is this with pure audio tracks - no MIDI/synths involved? If it's a flatline clip, make sure you don't have something else in the project soloed. Basically, if you can't hear the selected tracks on playback, you'll get a flatline on bounce. If there's no clip at all, possibly the destination track is not as you intended. I would suggest that you create the target track in advance and choose it as the destination for the bounce. It shouldn't make a difference, but it helps keep things organized.

Also, rather than bouncing entire mix, if you don't have FX on buses that you want printed to the bounce, try selecting just Tracks as the source. If you do want bus FX printed try selecting Buses as the source. Again, it shouldn't make a difference, but I like to control exactly what sources go into a bounce - no more, and no less.

Thanks Brundlefly.  Your questions generated some new thoughts and I figured it out.  Since the lines in the bounced track were flat I assumed there was no sound there but there was audio present, just at a low level.  Then I realized that having the master bus set at a low level was the problem.  Thanks for taking the time to help.

This is a common error. It's worth checking out the various bounce and export options, it took me a long time to realize how useful export with only tracks selected could be!
