[Solved] Copy and Paste not working in X3

I have an issue where I am trying to copy a vocal phrase from a single take lane to an inserted take lane. I can split the vocal track on take 1 and get the clips as I want. When I go to paste the copied clip from the take lane 1 to a different position in take lane2, the clip from take 1 is pasted in the new take lane.
 
1. Single take lane1 93 measures of vox track- split vocal phrase to it's own complete clip. I have 8 measures in the clip starting at measure 27
2. Edit/Copy split clip event without markers
3. Split take lane1 clip at new location, measure 51, for 8 measures
4.  Go to new desired position, measure 51, for clip in take lane2 with now time SPP.
5. Edit / Paste clip
 
I get the lower clip, need to replace vocal phrase, in take lane1 measure 51 at the now time pasted into take lane2 instead of the edit/copied clip from measure 27 as expected.

    I have read this three times and still don't understand what you want to happen and what is actually happening. Perhaps I am just being dense, but if you can clarify the issue I and others may be better able to help.

    Now that I bounced SONAR, I am getting what is expected. Don't have a clue what happened to cause it and can't recreate it. I was getting the clip copied from measure 51 to the new take lane instead of the clip from measure 27.
