[Solved?? ]Drag and drop track icons

 
I have been working on a project created in 8.5.3.
Track icon drag/drop was just one of the many functions that were/are not working.
Track colors not following buses was yesterday's annoyance. Had to clone 100 tracks to get it to work.
Moving to x3 has been more of an experience than I desired.
Lost asio inputs.
problem installing AD,...
Lost soundfonts and samples, and presets and settings.
 
And this is only with the current project. I am hoping not to have the same joy with other "old" projects.

This may exist, but it don't work for me.
 
80 tracks, 50 busses:
 
No drag and drop from windows folder to track icon makes track icons a major time waster.

I use the windows explorer a lot. So I would like it to emulate the browser.
 
I cannot figger how to drag a track icon to a track.
 
I get a 4 headed arrow, and a + sign. But dropping does not change the icon.
 
What am I not doing correctly?
