[Solved] Drag-n-drop or browser insert of new Clips inserts at measure 1000+ ?!?!?

When I create a new X3 session and drag clips into from explorer or the X3 Broswer they show up crazy-late in the timeline - like in measure 3000-something. I have to zoom WAY out and then drag them to Bar 1. Crazy.
Any ideas what is causing this or what I'm doing wrong?
TIA

Not sure only to speculate that your cursor (Now time) is on that spot.  However, rather than drag the clip back to an earlier position, you can just cut and paste.  Naturally, just click and cut the clip as usual, but then click paste special and in the dialog you can designate the specific place you want the click to be pasted.

Perhaps, if you used the Media Browser instead of the Windows Explorer, you might have more control as to where the clip is actually placed.  At least that's how I do it and haven't had any problems otherwise.

    Kind regards,

The clips could be Broadcast Wave files and have a time stamp. In preferences uncheck Edit > Preferences > File - Audio Data and select the Always Import Broadcast Waves At
    Their Timestamp check box.

When this subject has come up before, this has been the solution.

Thank you for the tip! That solved it.
What is weird though is that this happening for raw .WAV files exported from LOGIC and Pro Tools.
These are normal 'songs' - that begin at bar 1, beat 1. Oh well. Now I know.
    Thanks again.

FWIW, I think PT has a default 1 hour offset when exporting Broadcast Wave files, so bar 1/beat 1 of those clips would start at the 1 hour mark when that preference is enabled.   Not sure about Logic.

What a hassle. I thought I might have had a corrupt track or there might have been a bug. Anyway that suggestion solved it for me thanks.
