[Solved] - Installing plugin, not sure whether it's 32 or 64 bit and where it should go

Hello all,

I'm in the process of installing Nectar Elements (got for free with purchase of an Adpack from XLN) and it's defaulting to the ProgramFiles (x86) folder.  I did a little research and found that apparently Nectar is available as a 64 bit plugin, so I'm just not sure if I downloaded a 32 bit installer or it's installing to the wrong program files folder.  Or maybe it doesn't really matter...  FWIW, I was not given an option of a 32 or 64 bit download or installation.  Anyone else encounter this?  Thanks in advance!

I would expect both 32 and 64bit are in the same installer. The iZotope products I use ask for a program directory (which I let default), then the plug-in formats and locations for the plug-ins. It is the VST plug-in locations are the important piece to SONAR. Specify paths known to the SONAR VST scanner. The default for 64bit is "C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Vstplugins" and 32bit is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Cakewalk\Vstplugins". I prefer to append the vst path with the vendor name too.

Thanks, scook!  There were some more options during the installation and the plugins went exactly where you said they should.  It was just the initial (x86) default that through me off.  Thanks again for the help!
