[Solved] Melodyne and Stuff in the Multidock

When I bounce a Melodyne'd clip and Melodyne *opens* (it opens in the multidock by default), most of my plugins that I store in the multidock disappear.  I keep about twenty things in the multidock...maybe that's too many?  It does this on both my computers.  Not critical, but thought I'd mention it.

Solved:  Preferences/VST Settings - uncheck "Recycle Plugin Window".  Apply.  Ok.  Open an undocked plugin window.  Is the "Pin" icon lit?  You are good to go.  Not lit?  Open Preferences again.  Check "Recycle Plugin Window".  Apply and close.  Reopen Preferences.  Uncheck "Recycle Plugin Window"  Apply and close.  Open an undocked plugin window.  Pin icon should be lit now.

Are you opening Melodyne in the Multidock or can it be set to open in it's own window?

right click on the tab (the VST tab) in the multidock and choose "Lock contents".
this might work.

Melodyne opens as a region effect directly in the multidock.  I will try the "lock contents" idea.  Thnx.
Thanks for the link above to the other thread.
Update:  Drum Replacer Region Effect kicks all third party plugins out as well, so it is not a Melodyne exclusive thing.
All Sonar Views windows remain.  Just FX Bin/Third party plugins are given the boot.
The "Pin" trick is the workaround.  But you must remember to pin the Plugin before docking it.

I can confirm that you both are indeed correct, but Chuck was correct first (in March).

Right clicking the *Piano Roll* Tab in the multidock gives me that third, "Lock Contents" option.  Browser, Console, Matrix, and the other Views that are part of Sonar's Views menu however do not.  And neither do the Third Party Synths and Plugs docked in the Multidock.  Sounds like an oversight or bug to me.

We split the royalty's bro I give you 90% and I'll take 10% . you found it.

Awesome feature though. I use this quite a bit.
For me its helpful for PRV work where one instrument is up high in the octaves and another low.
This way I don't have to scroll a mile to switch from one to the other.

Love the new PRV changes but man do I hate how it loses focus once you click in the track pane.
you have to actually click in the PRV note area again to gain focus back (if you want to scroll/which I do a lot of).

Right about no lock option for plugins even tho documentation says otherwise: "Only the Track and Console views cannot be locked." Clearly a bug. X1-3 behave the same way now. Still, I've never had Melodyne or any other plugin bump others out of Multidock.
