[Solved] Melodyne blobs not sounding when moving

Sonar Platinum.  Ran Region Effects.  No sound when I try and manually move a blob.

What am I missing here?

Turn on Input Echo for the track with Melodyne.

    Actually...that didn't work.

By the way, my Region Effects goes to Melodyne Editor--not Essential, or whatever the usual is.  (I already had the separate program and it is set to run with SONAR.

    Still no sound.

Editor is more advanced than Essential, so Essential is out of the picture.

They're the same program anyway. Your license determines which features you see.

Re: [Solved] NOT!! Melodyne blobs not sounding when moving 2016/04/04 22:17:29 (permalink)
I am perplexed. So I worked in Melodyne 2 Editor most of yesterday afternoon, using the Region Effect. No problems. Do a bit of work today, but when the blobs move there is no audio. The vocal track plays normally with correct volume. The green meter in Melodyne is moving. Per Craig's suggestion in this thread, I made sure Input Echo is enabled on the channel. Reboot, no audio. In fact, Melodyne/Region Effect doesn't work on any track on this project, as well as others I have used Melodyne on recently! However, I do get audio if I put Melodyne into the FX Bin and transfer audio in - blobs make noise :-)

What am I missing? Is a re-install in order? Any help is appreciated!

I have experienced this on various projects lately. It's very annoying. I can't figure it out. I opened up a previous save in a project and I would hear sound when I moved the blobs, but I wouldn't hear sound on the latest save. And everything was the same in both projects. Not sure what's going on. And yes, input echo was enabled.
