[Solved] Midi export?

Hey friends, Is there a way to export a MIDI file from a MIDI track in Home Studio 7? This option is not appearing in the menu. The menu shows only "midi groove clip", but grays out when the tune is not running. The track is a piano part, so only one channel. I want to load the track in another DAW as a  .mid  . Thanks much. btw, Merry Xmas!

It has been a while and I last used HS 4, but I think you can select the track and either do a File-Export or Save As to save to a .mid file. I seem to remember simply doing a Save As without selecting tracks.

ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero (Wi-Fi AC), i7-8700k, 16GB RAM, GTX-1070Ti, Win 10 Pro, Saffire PRO 24 DSP, A-300 PRO, plus numerous gadgets and gizmos that make or manipulate sound in some way.

Thanks much mettelus, the 'save a's works for all the tracks, not one by one. This is Sonar HS 7 .

I am not familiar with HS myself, but what I do in SONAR is simply resize SONAR's window to show some of the Window's desktop and then right-click and drag the MIDI clip in SONAR onto the Window's desktop.  It then save a copy of the MIDI clip/file to the desktop (once you let go of the mouse).  Try that.

    Kind regards,

Hi - if you don't mind, can you either mark this thread as Answered for post #4 above, or edit the subject line for your initial post in the thread and add something like 'Solved'?

Either of the above helps others in the forum that are either looking for a similar issue's solution, or are looking at threads for jumping in to try to help solve issues.

Thanks - glad this is fixed for you :)
