(Solved) New Crash Symptom on my DELL STUDIO XPS 8100 ?

So I have done most of the tweaks for Except the one that calls for editing the Reg Files. All went well with the 4 hour recording session. I broke the songs out (split them apart from being all one take).  I added VC64 on the vocals FX bin in the track. I lasso'd the individual songs tracks and exported 44.1/16. Good so far. After the computer sat for awhile, it Logged off User when I tried to get back in it went to the Blue Screen of UhOh. I believe the error was "Driver power state failure" with a code of 0x0000009F then a bunch of more numbers in (....).  On my tweaking, I stuck to adjusting buffer and bit sizes, I disabled speed step  I belive in BIOS, disabled LAN card, Disabled Sounds, not sure what else at the moment.  Now it has worked great during the last lengthy recording session and many hours of editing tracks. The only real change was adding the VC64-this was new for me. Any thoughts on whether its Op System or a fix coming in X1b or ???  I can still operate after getting a good clean cold boot on the system.
Thanks

A little more info on the Project.  It currently has 23 tracks with a master bus and a drum bus. No ProChannels active. GR4 on guitar tracks and VC64 on vocal tracks. I have added Sonnix Reverb and compressor on the drum bus lightly used. I believe that is the extent of everything at this point.

It appears that after EXPORTING anything I need to go through this reboot fight with the blue screen crash. X1 will not open even though desk top appears fine until reboot is complete. Everything else on system opens fine.

I would adjust the power settings in Windows to make sure the PC is always on and does NOT enter standby or hibernation.

Also, for your sound card in Device Manger, check the Advanced tab and see if there a check box relating to something about the device waking the computer?

"Driver power state failure" 0x0000009F points to the most likely cause of the problem being some driver or another not handling the PC's power state properly (though some people also point fingers at anti-virus and firewall software). I came across it a a year or so ago on a friend's system; the problem eventually turned out to be related to the antiquated modem's even more antiquated driver. Took ages to track down the source of the problem, though.

Try searching Microsoft's forums (http://social.answers.microsoft.com/ is a good place to start) and MS support pages for the error number - just about all these error codes are documented, though the explanations aren't always entirely helpful to we non-programmers...

Sorry I missed you yesterday Star,
When the BIOS was updated last week or one of the other updates, the system turned back on the Hibernate and Sleep Option to [1 hour]. I reset them BOTH to [Never] once again and saved this morning.

    BIOS Setup, currently set as:
Hyper-Thread [Enabled],  SpeedStep [Disabled],  C-State [Disabled],  Virtualization [Enabled],  Limit CPUID Value [Disabled],  Multi Core Support [ALL].
I did turn the LAN card back on to do some updates/checks.

    Power Management Setup:
ACPI Suspend Type [S3],  Remote Wake Up [Enabled],  AC Recovery [Power Off],  Auto Power On [Disabled],  Low Power Mode [Off]

Not sure if the power management will have an effect yet.  I will try exporting a Song, Reboot and see if that changed anything and as for hybernate/sleep was a concern, I guess time will tell on that part.

Ill check back later with update on what I find.  Thanks again guys

Mixed for a couple hours, Exported twice, & rebooted system each time. Appears to be working normal as far as that part.  When bringing up and working in X1 now, as opening X1 goes seems a little unstable at first. Tracks will show up ok but outer graphics like tool bars, side panels, etc will be all whited out but will eventually come in.  As working on tracks, scrolling will get choppy at times, an occasional stop but not to bad.  When lassoing to break out a song from long recordings (multiple songs) to be exported-it will not get it all the way to the end of selection-Ends up cutting off end of song even though I have selected past the point of cutoff.

Not sure what causing the short cutting but this is what I found.  I am lassoing tracks 10 thru 17 (of 24 total) at start 4605 and ending at 4825 on time. The vocals on track 10 were ending at apprx 4822:00:000-this is where the rest would get cutoff at.  I stretched out the vocal track (10) to the end with the other tracks (11-17) and it now exports/selects the entire song as selected.  (WEIRD or just me?)

This is A Disk Load. Didnt want to mess with the Download. So think I should maintain settings I have now and do a complete clean install of X1 now to clean it back up?  Sounds logical to me but Im not much of a techy LOL. It appears to be doing fairly good now just small glitches here and there but nothing bad.

With a Fresh Clean Reinstall of X1, X1a, X1b and Quick Fix (244), I believe all issues and adjustments listed above in addition to this post have me running good.    Now to add and figure out the ZEDR16
