Solved - Panning seems off

I recorded an acoustic guitar to a single track.  When I play it back it is heavily to the right.  In fact, I have to adjust the pan to 45% left to get the guitar to sound dead center.  What did I do?

it sounds like you recorded it on a STEREO input instead of mono.  if you look at the track in track view, is all of the wave form on the top and the bottom is empty?

if so, you need to record in the future on the LEFT input instead of the STEREO input.  in the meantime you can fix what you've got by using BOUNCE TO TRACKS and choose SPLIT MONO for the type.

If not that, maybe you moved the Pan in Offset mode, or you are now in Offset mode (plus signs in Volume and Pan widgets). Hit O on your keyboard to toggle in/out of Offset mode. Pan should be centered in Offset mode if no offset is intended.

I wasn't aware of the Offset mode option.

Brundlefly, you are correct! It was the Offset mode. That's strange because I didn't even know there was a pan offset mode. How in the heck did it get changed? Anyway, thank you!

All too easy to hit O on your keyboard and make changes in that mode, then go back out, and not realize it happened. Most of use have been there at one time or another.
