*Solved* Platinum: Drag and Dropping VST window into Multi-Dock. Has something changed?

Solved: Hold Ctrl while attempting docking procedure.

Stupid question:

I used to be able to toss VST's into the Multi-Dock to get them out of my way temporarily. This does not seem to be working in Platinum. I know they've added VST window recycling so I'm guessing it may be related to that.

Is there a new trick to tossing VSTs into the Dock?

Yes, I should probably RTFM but figure there's an easy answer.

Thanks.

Hit ctrl as you move the VST to the dock.

I don't as a rule do that I simply close it. They work just as well closed as opened. The settings don't change and there is often no need to view them.

There are many times I need access to my sims... one reason being it's faster to tune up with the virtual tuner than unplugging and connecting to my TU-2 (although I prefer tuning with the TU-2) and of course I like to tweak tones a lot. Eventually I just close them and double click in the FX Bin as needed but during the times I'm using them I dump them in the dock quickly to get rid of them then yank them out again to tweak (the tuner can be viewed from even a smallish dock).

    Just part of my workflow.

    Cheers.

Good point Beep. I also use two monitors which helps with window management.

Yeah... one monitor here so I make liberal use of the Dock as well as constantly whack away at hotkeys to get at various things. You should see me blasting around the program these days. These features are a major bonus for me and I would likely continue working this way even if I did bring in a second monitor. I'd even keep the Console in the dock unless maybe I was doing extensive routing and needed to see the whole console at once.

I would however probably have things like TH2, synths and drum sequencers off the main screen because they tend to be the things that screw up the general Sonar workflow.
