[Solved] Playback issues after exporting Sonar to WAV file

Hey Guys,

Wondering if anyone has used/using EWQL Play V5 with Sonar Pro?

I've recently purchased Sonar Pro, previously running Music Creator 6, and also signed up to East West's Composer Cloud subscription service to try out their products.

All seemed to be running OK, Play version 5 running in Sonar, East West instruments loaded into Play. Writing and playing instruments within Play after each have been assigned a track within Sonar.

I've exported a few tunes to WAV files, upon playback the audio tracks and instruments that come with Sonar playback OK as does EasyDrummer 2. Instruments that are loaded via Play however only seem to play the first beat of the phrase played, so if I have a string pad that runs for 4 beats, only the first beat plays the sustain on the pad disappears.

Anyone else run into this issue?

I'm running Windows 10 (x64), i5 with 8GB of memory. I've tried playback with Windows Media player, iTunes even VLC. All with the same result.

Cheers in advance for any assistance.

I'm working with EWQL (Composer Cloud) since 1 year and never had this problem.
If you have only a trial version, maybe this is a limitation of the trial.

Have you tried importing your export back into SONAR?

Do that and have a look at what the waveform/meters are telling you.

Thanks for the quick reply guys.

THambrecht, I'm running full version of Composer Cloud.

Bristol_Jonesey, I've tried importing it back into Sonar and waveforms show only the the initial note hit, no sustain.

The link below should you an idea of what's going on, each note should play for a count of four, only the first beat plays.

I've added a thread on the EastWest forums as well, as I think it's an issue/setting within Play.

    Cheers Guys

    Hey Guys,

A Mod on the EWQL forum says there is a bug with the build of play that I'm running and next patch will fix it.

Another suggested doing a real-time bounce of the tracks as a workaround, this worked.

    Thanks for the input guys.
