[Solved] Question Regarding Punch Recording.

The punch recording feature in my version of Sonar Professional went from working properly, to no longer recording the material I am trying to overwrite the previous areas with.   Record mode is still set to "overwrite," I have the track armed to record, the correct time frame that I want to punch in/out, as well as the punch recording armed, yet when I hit the space bar to start recording, it doesn't record anything in the time frames I specified.  I'm now at my wits end, and don't know what to do, so I thought I'd come here and see if others might be able to shed a little light on this problem for me.  Will provide additional info if needed.

I insert my punch points using the box in the top right area.

You have to press R not the spacebar

Pressing the space bar isn't enough, you have to hit record. However, nothing will be recorded until SONAR reaches the punch points. HTH

Yup, that seems to have remedied the problem.  I could swear I didn't have to use the "R" key before though. I must've been wrong.  Either way, it's working as it should now, so I'm good.  Thank you for the help guys, I appreciate it.

Well, you didn't have to hit the R key, you could have just hit record on the transport. In any case, glad it's working for you!
