[Solved] Running audio player and Sonar at the same time.

Hello,
I've tried to run Spotify while running Sonar but i can't hear Spotify and it crashes.I can do it with any other DAW i've tried so there must be a way to do it with Sonar.
Can somebody help me please?
Thank you.

It depends from your Audio Interface (hardware and drivers) and the mode you use in Sonar.

In general, the interface in ASIO mode (most used because of lower latency) does not allow multiple clients. In other modes that is not a problem (since then all audio goes throw the Windows audio system, including internal Windows  mixer). Some hardware has "software returns" which can work in parallel with ASIO, that can be audio settings specific (f.e. does not work with my M-Audio in 96kHz mode). Note that is not Sonar specific, and when you mention "any other DAW", do you mean you have tested with all 20+ of them?

If you specify your hardware and the audio settings in Sonar, someone can give you concrete advise either that is possible in your case and how to achieve that.

    Hi Aslow,thanks for the answer.
Sorry for my not so good english.
I found out the probem but i don't know how to fix it.I'm new with Sonar.
The problem is ASIO4allv2 driver. It cuts the sound and sometimes freezes everything else when you open a software using it,even internet sound.I've tried opening a DAW running with ASIO4all while watching a video on youtube it froze it.
I've tried to open Studio one and Reaper set with Asio4all and it does the same as with Sonar.
My Audio interface is a Focusrite 6i6 and in Studio one,Reaper or FL studio i can change the driver for the Focusrite ASIO driver and it works fine with everything else but in Sonar the only Asio driver i can choose in Preferences is Asio4allv2 Scarlette 6i6 USB.Idon't know what to do.
    Thanks.

I'd recommend completely removing the ASIO4All driver from your computer. It's not been updated in years, and there's really no good reason to be using it with the interface you have.
