[Solved] Sonar Platinum crashes with Waves HReverb

Has anyone experienced this issue with Sonar ?
I have many Waves plugins but all work fine. Just purchased the HReverb, installed correctly because it can be loaded into the FX bin but that is as far as it will go. As soon as any adjustments are attempted  everything stalls  then (not responding) message  and then need to close the program.

Sonar Platinum is the latest available(part of the membership program)  same with Waves.

Suggestions are appreciated

Did you try a VST reset and scan?
This is sort of the default recommendation from WAVES support when installing/adding new plugins ...

    Thanks for the reply guys.
Yes I did the rescan and then re-booted the PC.
I will install the new..... new update for Sonar, and the will see what happens. I must be something simple.

After installing SONAR do a reset AND rescan. Rescan alone is not enough.

    1. Launch SONAR and then go to Edit > Preferences
    2. Navigate to File - VST Settings
    3. Underneath Scan Options, place a check mark next to "Rescan Failed Plug-ins" and "Rescan Existing Plug-ins"
    4. Click the [Reset...] button
    5. You will be presented with the message: "This will reset configuration settings for all your VST plug-ins to defaults. VST Plug-ins will be unavailable until a VST Scan is performed. Any custom configuration settings will be lost. Are you sure you want to do this?".
    6. Click [Yes]
    7. Click the [Scan] button
    8. At this point, the background VST scanner will scan through your list of plug-ins.
    9. When the background scanner is complete, you can reapply any custom settings to your plug-ins.

IMPORTANT: After going through this process, remove the check marks next to "Rescan Failed Plug-ins" and "Rescan Existing Plug-ins", especially if you have "Automatic Background Scan" enabled. Leaving all of these options configured simultaneously could lead to a continuous scan loop.

    Issue resolved,

After implementing all your suggestions, still no fix.  So  took a gamble and enabled Windows updates.
I've let it do all the important updates,  restarted PC  and  what do you know, everything is chugging along nicely.

But just to be safe I've disabled windows updates again.

This is a clear example of why people should always be running windows update. You are in fact less safe, slower and less reliable if you don't (it used to be the opposite not any more). And if you do a backup and put in a system restore point you are 100% safe so there should be no debate.
