[Solved] Sonar Platinum send "local control off"
I need your help. When I power up Sonar Platinum it sends a local control off message to all my synths and I have to go into each synth and turn local control back on. In prior versions there was a file that I could go in and edit to keep that from happening. Does anyone know how to do this with Platinum? Thanks Joe

Here's the page from the reference manual: To automatically disable all local control whenever you launch SONAR 1. Navigate to the SONAR app data directory (%appdata%\Cakewalk\SONAR) and double-click on the TTSseq.ini file to open it. 2. In the [Options] section, add the line: SendLocalOff=1 3. Save the file and close it. 4. When you launch SONAR, it automatically sends a Local Off message to your key Change to "SendLocalOff=0"

Try this Joey
Local control You should normally disable the Local Control setting on your master keyboard to prevent notes from being doubled when you play your keyboard. If you disable Local Control, your keyboard sends notes that you play to SONAR, which echoes them to the synthesizer, which plays them only once. When SONAR starts, you can have it send a special MIDI message that attempts to disable Local Control automatically. Most modern synthesizers respond to this message. If yours does not, you will need to disable Local Control every time you turn it on for use with SONAR.
To automatically disable all local control whenever you launch SONAR 1. In the directory where SONAR is installed, double-click on the TTSseq.ini file to open it.
2. In the [Options] section, add the line: SendLocalOff=1
3. Save the file and close it.
4. When you launch SONAR, it automatically sends a Local Off message to your keyboard.
Change #2 send local to 0 / Zero.

Guys, My TTSseq.ini file does not have the "sendlocal" line in the script at all. Therefore, there is nothing for me to change. maybe I should add that line? If so, where in the script should I add it? Strange that mine doesn't have it listed. Thanks Joe

It should go in the [OPTIONS] section. If there's no [OPTIONS] section, add one and enter SendLocalOff=0 immediately after. Use Notepad to edit the file and save it back to the same location where you opened it.

henkejs, Thanks. I added that line and tested it once... it worked. Let's hope it continues to work. Thanks! Joe

I did the change, it will continue to work until/unless the TTSseq.ini file is overwritten or replaced.
