[Solved] Strange New Issue With V-Vocal?

This one is a bit different for me... Luckily I found a way to retrieve something that will suffice as it is only an idea track, not a performance...

I have a song in which I used VV to tweak some vocals... just a few tiny clips...

All is well with the song...

I copy the current song folder to my new machine in which other songs are acting the same regarding this... I've come across it in at least two of the songs so far...

When I open the song on the new machine (set up identically to the old machine regarding Sonar and settings) I get an error message regarding the VV clips... When I let it load, I see the visuals for the clips, but the VV clips don't sound. Checking the associated audio file, I manually load in the related clips and suddenly, I hear both! Muting the imported one I still hear the supposed VV clip, but it sounds unchanged???

Hmmm... I'm going back into the studio... I was just thinking/wondering if there's a problem..... Ahhh.... Now I know! I have not installed VV on this machine as it came with an earlier Sonar release...

Anyone who's read my miserable thread to this point... Do you remember which version(s) of Sonar came with VV? I'll start looking for the info myself, but you might save me some stress if you can point me in the right direction? ;-)

Thanks!

X2 was the last release that included V-Vocal.

As a rule, render your V-Vocal clips, and keep backups of the originals, if you care to.

    Thanks...

    I do...

This is/was a scratch track... Just an idea for melodies for a new song so I hadn't bothered...

I see it still was with us prior to X3 so I am currently copying my X2 install stuff to the new machine... I hope to have this fixed in a few minutes, but now I'm thinking of my other machine having so many older versions of Sonar.... What other things might I still want from some of the older versions... Reluctantly, after dealing with this I'm gonna copy all my tother version Sonar folders to the new machine ...just in case? ;-)

I'm gonna note the updated understanding for me in the Title of this post...

    Thanks again!
