[Solved] USB Midi thru?

I need to connect my Alesis drum set that has USB Midi to two PCs simultaneously. 
I thought maybe a USB hub would do the trick.
I don't have a USB Hub around so I'd have to buy one to try it.
 
Has anyone tried a USB hub for this?
Or is there a more tried and true method.

    I doubt that will work, USB ports emit 5 volts so you'd probably blow up the USB hub on both PC's. 
    I'm pretty sure it's not a good idea to connect 2 USB systems. 
    And not only that The drums need a driver and it would mess with it's mind talking to 2 drivers. 
    To do what you wish you need real MIDI ports. 
    You'll just have to record the midi to the first machine and transfer it later.

    usb has two types of connectors A & B. Hubs connect to type B, do your "drums" have a type B connector?
     

    One problem with usb midi is that it is not isolated so you may create ground loops.

    Ya know I think I'll go a different route and just put an amp on the drums for realtime monitoring when overdubbing during high buffer times - (like always). I was going to use a second pc and a drum vsti for that as I'm also going to with a keyboard controller.
     
    So never mind and I'll put solved on the thread title.
