The solution: The installer put the dll in:
C:\Program Files (x86)\VstPlugins
I think the standard VST Plugins folder is normally:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Cakewalk\VstPlugins
(that is where I always put my VST files)
I added 'C:\Program Files (x86)\VstPlugins' to the list of VST folders in Sonar and Forte 3
I now have both the Cakewalk bundled version AND the new full version.
And I can use the full version in Brainspawn Forte (which is the only reason I upgraded to full version).
Also wondering, since there were some other VST's in the 'C:\Program Files (x86)\VstPlugins', why does this get confused? Shouldn't all programs put VST's in same folder. Maybe I accidentally created the second VST folder and it got used. Anyone else finding more than one VST folder on their computer? (I realize there is a 32 bit and 64 bit VST folder, I am not talking about that)
