[Solved] Various 32 bit VST3s not showing up in any plug-in list
Noticed in SONAR 2016.09, still issue in Update 2 Plugin: 32bit VST3 version of Blue Cat's Destructor plugin. http://www.bluecataudio.c...ts/Product_Destructor/Don't know if this problem effects other 32bit VST3 plugins, haven't tested. Edit: further testing show that this issue affects multiple 32bit VST3s - see following posts...- Only running Sonar Plat x64.
- Plugin is listed in registry database but never shows up in any of Sonar's dynamic plugin menus.
See image below. - If I install the 64 bit version, the 64 bit version shows up and works (whether or not 32 bit is installed or not)
- 32bit version never shows up even if it is the only version of Destructor installed.
No VST2 versions of this plugin are installed.
I have rescanned multiple times, deleted all VST plugins from registry database, and probably a couple of other things.

bitbridge doesn't wrap vst3 as far as i know?

Looks like a bad record to me. Is that what a good 32bit VST3 record looks like? I do not have any 32bit VST3 plug-ins installed. The 64bit VST3 plug-ins have many more entries in their inventory records. I too was not aware Bitbridge worked with VST3 format.

I can but that's not the issue, besides some VST3s don't have a 64bit version.

fair enough, although i can't think of a vst3 that doesn't have a x64 version - maybe cake can chime in and clarify whether or not bb wraps vst3s?

I think the OP could tell us, there appear to be several 32bit VST3 entries in the image above. Does Bitbridge load any of those plug-ins?

I just renamed my C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST folder and rescanned so now I only have the 32bit versions of VST3 plugins loaded.
Yes, 32bit VST3 plugins show in plugin menus - but many if not most are missing.
No Waves, Blue Cat, Boz Digital, Voxengo, iZotope or others.
They are in the registry database but not in the default plugin menus

My new list of 32bit VST3s - much is missing...  and 32bit VST3s do work fine in 64bit Sonar

Are you sure the image shows 32bit Pro-C2 in 64bit SONAR? I ask because the menu does not show the plug-ins are 32bit (maybe not a SONAR created description) and plug-in shows the VST3 standard header. Plug-ins wrapped in Bitbridge have the standard header in a separate window. Like this  Or is it different for VST3?

I double checked and you are right. They are all 64 bit. Some installers put a VST3 copy in the same folder as the VST2 and not C:\program files\common So it looks like none of the VST3 32 bit plugins are showing. Thanks for catching that.

Thanks, I will stop tearing down my inventory to test this.
It makes sense Bitbridge does not support VST3. The program predates the VST3 format.
