The purpose of dragging in a synth is to create a track. You don't drag a synth into an existing track, because the track already exists. Drag the instrument into a blank space in track view, or for that matter, anywhere that's blank in the window that shows clips.
Please consider that different DAWs do things in different ways. For example, Sonar places the instrument in a synth rack. The synth rack gives access to various controls and freezing options. You can open up the GUI from there, or by double-clicking on the icon in the synth's audio track. If you tell Sonar to show the Synth Property page in the dialog box that appears when you drag the synth in, the synth GUI wlll open automatically. Many of these same options are accessible from the track or console views.
Sonar is a deep, sophisticated program that can be highly personalized. It's doubtful you'll have a successful experience by trying things out in an unstructured way, or hoping that functions work as they do in other programs. I think you would be happier sticking with a program you already know if you don't want to invest the week or two needed to delve into Sonar's documentation and videos.
Asking multiple questions in this forum is not the most efficient way to learn the program because you don't know when someone will come here and answer your question, whereas the answer to the question is likely in the documentation. "Search" and "index" in the help section (either online or in the program) are very helpful in locating specific answers.
Regarding posting videos here, you can provide a URL and people can click on it to see the video. You can't embed videos. There are enough problems with spammers as is...if you click on the link in my sig, it will open up YouTube.
