Solved: hitting stop reverts my VSTI's volume knob to zero each time

specifically Electrax. how do i avoid this?

    Are you using spacebar to stop the playback? Try cloning the fx and delete the old one and see if that works.

    Go to Preferences.  Under Project, select MIDI.  Under Other Options, uncheck the box where it says "Zero controllers when play stops".

    deleting ElectraXmidi.cfg (which holds MIDI learn control data) from the vst folder solved the problem.
