[Solved] merging midi clips on a track

Well, I thought I knew how to do this.  But once again, I'm left scratching my head...

So I have a track with maybe 10 midi clips on it.  I've checked - none are looping.  I want to combine them into one clip.  Just simple house keeping.  Select them all, then bounce to clip... Right?  Nope.

I've tried everything I can think of.  Spent probably two hours on this.  Nothing happens when I bounce to clip.  Not even History reflect any changes.

Help!
(Sonar X3 Producer)

Thanks

Select all the clips, hover mouse over clips, right click, bounce to clips.  Simples.

Hmm... works even with looping clips and with effects in clips for me. Started X3 just to test that, the same.

Occasionally bouncing to clips fails for me for no discernable reason. Rebooting Sonar always fixes it.

    Should be that simple, right?

    IT'S NOT WORKING!!!!

And I can't figure out why.  Even with two adjacent midi clips.  Select both.  Verify neither has loop enabled or locked.  Bounce to clip(s).  (Yes, the menu items are enabled...)  Sonar acts as if it it doing somethigns albeit very quickly.

Results, still two clips.  History shows no Bounce to Clips activity.  So nothing was done.

    Really???

    Ideas?

Have you tried this in a new project after rebooting your computer ?

It really should be that easy. Just fired up X3 Producer x64 and tried it myself.

    I opened a MIDI project,
In one of the tracks I set the dropdown to "Clips" (I often have it set to "Notes"),
I click on one clip, it goes grey.
I hold Ctrl and click on the one next to it, both are now grey.
I right-click over the first one and the menu pops up (it did NOT pop up when my cursor was over the NOW line)
...and I select "Bounce to Clip(s)".
    They are now one clip.

This does not work for you?

Closing Sonar, rebooting, restarting Sonar seemed to resolve the issue.

    Thanks!
