Solved!! not really, but found a wrok around!exporting video, having trouble syncing audio

took a video of the singer tracking the tune with my iPhone.  Converted filel to wmv file and imported into sonar. Also did a mix of the song tracked and imported. I synced up the audio from the video and the mix. trouble is, when I export to an avi file, the audio and the video are way out of sync. Anyone know how to fix this. I search the web looking for a tutorial and info, but didn't find anything that helped. this is my very first time attempting this.

I have had similar issues at times. Now I use sonar to put a polish on the audio then I export the audio only. Then I sync the audio and video using Sony Vegas. Sonar only uses a few file formats for video.

ok, I am just trying this out, don't want to spend a bunch of money to try it. Sonar should do this right? Anyone know of any tutorials or documention that explains how to do it vis SONAR X2 ????

very little documentation that I can find, I almost wish it wasn't even supported, imo its one more thing to worry about when focus can be on other things.
I use sony vegas as well.

Kinda Solved!!!! exporting video, having trouble syncing audio 2013/03/11 19:16:48 (permalink)
Well, I gave up on sonar video, however i fugured out an easy free way to do it.  I loaded the video and audio into sonar and matched the audio to the video's audio to sync it up. Then I extended the audio to "zero". export the audio as a brodcast wave. did nothing with the video.

opened my freebie version of Windows Live Movie Maker (6.0), imported the video clip and then imported my broacast wave, "published" to my computer. This combined the audio with the video. (you need to mute the video's audio). Then I opened that new video and was able to edit the beginning and end etc.  you can check out my vid. would love to hear feedback on the mix, but the video is nothing special, just tracking vocals, was just for fun. was from my iPhone. My fist time ever doing anything with video.
