[Solved] playback mode

I'm not sure how to fix this tiny little problem .. I'm not even sure how to explain it ... when i am playing back OR recording the  start time cursor does not go back to where I started from. It stops at where I hit stop.
 
It used to go back to the original starting point but for some reason it stopped doing that. How can I change that setting does anyone know? Thanks

    Guessing this is a question about X3. The option is set in the Track View Options Menu "On Stop, Rewind to Now Marker". It is also set with keyboard shortcut CTRL+W.
