Solved--Need help--Sonar X1d fails to load all Samples in SD's Roots/Brushes SDX

My Sonar X1 with Toontrack Roots Brushes SDX has a memory hang. I posted in the software forum down below (http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.aspx?m=2554410 ) but no one had this problem with their Sonar X1 and Roots Brushes. So since it only happens in my Sonar X1d (Prochannel Expanded 64bit with Panup's Yellowstone Mod) I thought I would ask up here in the Sonar X1 forum to see if by chance someone has some suggestions.

Here is the problem. When I load a Toontrack's Superior Drummer 2.3 Roots Brushes SDX the samples never quite finish loading. The “Memory & Status” box in the lower left corner has it still “loading samples”; it comes to just a few mbs short of a complete load for most of the Brushes presets, but never finishes. It sounds fine, but it is troubling. All my other Toontrack SDX libraries and EZX libraries load fine in my Sonar X1d, but for some reason the Roots Brushes SDX does not complete its loading of samples. I have set the internal memory in Superior Drummer up to 2600k which is way more than needed, but I still get this memory hang. I did do memtest86 and Windows Memory Diagnostic tests and my 16 gigs of memory passed; so the 16g of ram memory is not the problem

This problem only happens in my Sonar XI as the host; when I load the Superior Drummer Roots Brushes SDX kit in other hosts (Toontrack's Solo and Savihost), this failure to finish loading samples does not occur. Before I go to Toontrack's forum or open a support ticket with Toontrack, and since this only happens in Sonar, I thought I would ask if anyone here has any ideas as to what I can do to get Sonar X1d Prochannel Expanded to load completely this SDX library. BTW, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Roots SDX twice from the 5 DVDs, and I still have this trouble.

Any suggestions or advice would be most appreciated.

    Is the cached button lit?

No, but thanks for the idea.  I tired the cache button and it doesn't make a difference.  I also have tried the 16 bit versions, but they also have the incomplete loading.

Any other ideas before I bounce this over to Toontrack?  [Given that it is unique to Sonar, I suspect they will bounce it back to Cakewalk.]

[on edit:]  I also just tried to delete the configuration file (in preferences) and let it reset to factory defaults.  However, this did not help.

    Any other ideas?

    SOLVED--Re:Need help--Sonar X1d fails to load all Samples in SD's Roots/Brushes SDX 2012/04/26 00:27:50 (permalink)
Toontrack Support spotted the trouble immediately in the screen shot I sent them.  I had 2.2.3 running and needed 2.3 to run this SDX.  While I actually had updated to 2.3, I mistakenly still had Sonar X1 pointed to an old vst folder that still had the old 2.2.3 in it.  So I deleted the old folder, added the correct vst path in the plugin manager, and VOILA it all works immaculately.  No more memory hang.

I am so happy with Toontrack's support people.  They really rock (or jazz in my case with Roots-Brushes).
