If you've upgraded to Windows 7 64-bit, then you need a 64-bit driver for the Audigy. Creative soundcards are not the best selection for pro audio applications like Sonar.

i had loaded the latest driver from Creative with no luck, i just noticed that the projects that don't play are listed at 44khz 16 bit, where as the projects that do play are at 48khz. when i try to change under options-audio-to 44khz a message comes up "the default audio format is not compatible with the sound card, the setting has been chaged back to 48khz as suggested by the driver". I had changed to 44khz also under the sound porperties at the control panel. i need a better sound card i guess. im purely amatuer and only record music to entertain myself. use a lespaul/strat with effects pedal and  yammaha psr730, thru an old gaming computer of my sons.
i have just put my best song on soundclick "GirlDream", mostly for constructive feedback, i know good music but have so much trouble with timing, fingers don't sync with brain to well. i don't know if i have this link correct or not thanks

You have to change the w7 sample rate, and the card, and Sonar.

    Control panel
    sound
    playback
    double click device
    advanced tab
    change settings

    save

    repeat for recording

Make big sign, hang in front of monitor, ""always change to 48 for new projects""

Best to change to 24 bits.

If you cannot, time to get a new sound card/interface.
