Some comping bugs in x3e?

I just upgraded from x1 to x3e and I seem to be having some bugs in the new comping mode.
1)  Whenever I try to bounce to clips, I get an error message, and then the audio engine stops.  I have to close and reopen the file to get the audio engine working.  The error message is:
DirectShow error: (0x8004022a)
This filter does not support the current audio format.  It may require a different number of channels (e.g. stereo instead of mono) or a different sample rate.
I get the same error when I try to flatten the comp.
Any clues?

Win7 64 bit, I&-3770, two hard drives, 16 gigs ram, MOTO 24i with PCI 424 card.

Comping in X3e is very different from the old way in X1. Go here to see a video on it. http://www.cakewalk.com/C...sity/Get-Started

This error goes back for years and is often related to DirectX plug-ins. There are quite a few hits when using the Google search string site:forum.cakewalk.com DirectShow error: (0x8004022a). Try changing the track interleave or swapping out the DirectX plug-ins.
