Some interesting facts about music
I will share some interesting facts that I have learned from personal experience with music: 1.) Reversed songs are not just simply a mess being played backwards. They convey distinct moods and personalities just like forward songs. Listening to reversed songs is actually like listening to a whole new song that is played forward. A great example is the song "Ballad of the Goddess" which is the opening theme to the game Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. This is the song "Zelda's Lullaby" played backwards, but is made into a forward song that conveys a distinct mood and personality which is different than the original song. You can apply the same process to any other song out there as well. Go ahead and apply that process in your mind to the song "Love is a Battlefield" by Pat Benatar. What you will get when you reverse her song is a mood and personality that conveys something dramatic and horrific. You can use an audio software such as Audacity to reverse music. 2.) If you listen to your favorite musical artist such as Michael Jackson's music, then when you go to bed and are in the process of falling asleep, your brain will take all that musical information it has heard and it will create whole new songs by Michael Jackson which are just as good and just as catchy as any other Michael Jackson song. You will hear them pop up in your head when you are in the process of falling asleep since information tends to pop up in your mind during the sleeping process. You can even make this process happen in your waking life by allowing your brain to focus on creating a whole new song and your brain will automatically create that song for you. This can even apply to the best artists out there such as Beethoven. In other words, you can create the next greatest songs by Beethoven in your own head. The brain is an amazing organ and it is no problem for it to create the next greatest songs. This is a very useful technique to create the greatest songs. 3.) If you listen to a song on a pair of headphones and put the headphones down, then your brain will attempt to create a song out of all that vague muffled noise. It will be a completely different song than the one that was actually there. This is yet another technique to create new songs. 4.) Lyrics don't always go with songs. Some songs can sound sad, but have happy lyrics and vice versa. You can feel a certain way about a song, but for that feeling to not always match up with the type of feeling that the lyrics themselves convey.

as to number 3 kind of, i noticed long ago that when a song is playing, but you can't quite hear it to make out what it is due to background noise, or volume being to low or whatever, you do indeed create a song in your head, unfortunately if you aren't in a position to get it down in some manner, as soon as you become aware of what the song actually is the magic is gone. for many years after first experiencing this i have wanted to try it out by setting up the situation while being prepared to get it down, unfortunately i never have, but from the many times i have experienced this the songs that are created in your head do seem quite good. although i fear in trying to set the situation up and not being the random thing it has been in past experiences may loose the magic of the moment. you would of course have to not know what songs were playing in advance, because like i said, once you become aware of what it is that is actually playing . . . it is gone. maybe one day.

Don't worry. I am actually deciding to learn how to compose now. This is because I have moved on from my previous hobby which was playing videogames. I have actually grown tired of this hobby and have moved on to having a true genuine interest in composing now. I am also sorry if I was disrespectful or violent in the past. I was having a traumatic experience. During traumatic experiences, you have negative attitudes and perceptions such as not bothering with your goals/dreams, giving up, becoming angry/hostile, etc. But that is done and over with now and I never meant any of those things I've said.

DUDE ... skip it ... you can buy the BBC sound library for a lot more fun, when you take those things backwards, forwards and what not! Even better ... those natural sounds and elemental sounds that used to be around. ENO backwards is many times better than the original kind of thing.

SuperMarioGamer I will share some interesting facts that I have learned from personal experience with music: ... 1.) Reversed songs are not just simply a mess being played backwards. They convey distinct moods and personalities just like forward songs. ANY combination of sounds does that. You do not need to do this in Audacity to find that out. Take a microphone on a cassette and walk down the busy street and pick up all the sounds and voices (do it on a supermarket) and you will find really quick what "background" and "backwards" is all about. YOU have no idea, yet! And stop Googling for your information! Consider listening to Bach instead. Probably one quarter of his stuff is backwards of something else. And you are what ... 400 to 500 years late on your evaluation? SuperMarioGamer ... 2.) If you listen to your favorite musical artist such as Michael Jackson's music, then when you go to bed and are in the process of falling asleep ... ...
MJ was well known to play with backwards to help create moods and feelings. Some of his yelps and screams arose out of an extended vocal feeling. There is no secret here, and you making an idea out of it, is distorting the work that went behind his pieces of music. He was very well known for fooling around in the studio until he found something, and backwards was not a secret. Different speeds backwards create the moods. Perhaps you should look for a work that can be played in 33 1/2 and 45 on a LP. There is at least one, and it sounds magnificent both ways ... but you wouldn't know that? SuperMarioGamer ... 3.) If you listen to a song on a pair of headphones and put the headphones down, then your brain will attempt to create a song out of all that vague muffled noise. ...
Needs re-wording. Generally that song/sound stays with you like an echo and you can go with a bit, before the song deteriorates to your version, if you are capable of taking it that far. Most folks do not practice this "acting" detail. It is very helpful in teaching concentration. SuperMarioGamer ... 4.) Lyrics don't always go with songs.
Your lack of psychic ability is astounding, when trying to learn something about music and the art of SONG. You could at least listen to some opera and learn other details before you say something like this. It has always been an imaginary ideal, with the exception that the media in the past 100 has tried to make us all think that what they think and sing IS true, and thus, the Stairway to Heaven is true and in fact, psychically it is not, but it is well designed to convey ... an imaginary situation. The lyrics make it much more so. Many folks do the opposite intentionally when they sing and sound cynical and weird. Bob Dylan is one example, although it's hard to not say he is dyslexic with music, or similar! In general, for the past 500 years, the melody has created the vocals ... there are some notorious exceptions (Try Art Bears and Slap Happy for an education, or Henry Cow!) ... and a lot of modern "avant guard" music is created INTENTIONALLY to avoid even using anything like a "melody". But I am not sure that you have any kind of an ear for these things ... they would throw your ideas from here to Katmandu with some heavy duty dope!
Music is not about notes and chords! My poem is not about the computer or monitor or letters! It's about how I was able to translate it from my insides!

Exactly. You and I both realise that Shakin' Stevens knew exactly what was going on behind The Green Door. It was a just a Dadaist metaphor for the same lost Romanticism that Haircut 100 sang about in Love Plus One - the stolen ideals of the psychic Golden Section. Folks around here don't get it though. You have to go all the way back to Edmundo Ross for a true free range experiment.

There was, but they put the lid down first. Courtney Fish patented that method, she said that if the notes were already there (which they obviously were), no-one needed to play them.

Pedro, I mean this with respect, but one day it might behoove you to realize that your diatribes (to quite a few here) sound no different than the OP. You more often than not declare what others should accept and believe what you believe. You hardly ever qualify that you are expressing an opinion because you usually start with statements that invoke "I'm about to tell you I'm right by telling you how you are wrong". Most if not all of your "theories" would be more palatable (by me at least) if you simply stated "here is what I think, and has worked for me" but you seem to always imply, or flat out state, to us: "here is how you should think". It's getting really stale Pedro.

Panic's over everybody. Straummy is here to join in with the fun. I have a sixth sense that can detect irony from three forums away. So let me get this straight... - The OP is known to some of you already?
- Bapsi nags Pedro?
- Paulo nags Bapsi (with honourable mentions of 'irony')?
- James nails sarcasm?
- Straummy arrives late as per usual?
Won't anybody think of the children?
