Some oddness titled "Poly Ambrosia" Remix
A fairly straight forward alt pop tune with my usual cryptic lyrics. Guitar is purposely in a different meter during the verses a la Radiohead. Would apprieciate any feedback. Poly Ambrosia Thanks and take care Robert Anthony (edited for site/user related goofiness)

Cool sounding tune. Indy is OK, as a matter of fact it appears to be the thing right now. The mix needs way less bass. The bass is much to loud. if the bass was dropped a fair amount it would be better. Turn the bass down and the mix will probably sound 1000% better doing nothing else to it. I had to ture the bass down to about 1...almost as far down as I could go and it was still booming a bit. But at that point I could hear there is a good song under the bass. Hope this helps. post again after the remix.... really work to get the boominess out of the bass.

Really good song. Liked it a lot. Sounds good listening to it on my crappy headphones. I lost the USB NIC I use on my DAW so I can't listen to it on my good monitors. :( Doh! :)

Thanks Herb and Bub. Yeah Herb, thanks for that- the bass was waaay too loud. Case of recording and then mixing right after, and listening on my cell with earbuds today at work I thought it sounded a little bassy. New version up with the bass reduced (by 10rms). Same link but here it is again. Thanks again Robert Anthony http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=9921910

The bass could still come down a bit more. This is a really cool tune and other than the bass being a bit too loud, mixed well. Well done.

I enjoyed the style and flow of this tune. Really nice job mixing. I'm not sure if my speakers here are allowing me to hear the bass accurately, but it seems fine in most places. Maybe just a touch lower in certain spots. Keep up the good music!

Is this a new mix? I don't hear the bass being loud, of course I'm a bass player. It's a wierd song, but good. If I threw out all my wierd tunes I'd have only acouple left. OK, the more I listened to this the more I liked it. Some nice sounds here. It's really good. I didn't get to the lyrics because I was captivated by the instruments. Lyrics nest. :-)

The bass sounds good to me, but i see you've remixed it since the earlier comments. It's got an inventive mix and interesting arrangement, which i liked a lot. Nice work all-round.

Blueoneblue, If there was a problem with the bass I don't hear it now. The problem I have is with the claps. For me, and mind you I am stating for me, they sound too up front. I would like to hear them in the back, with maybe a touch of reverb, which would help them seem further in the back. Just my thoughts, but I really liked the tune, but like Warren I haven't really listened yet to the lyrics.

Thanks for all the comments. Guitarpima- Bass is always tricky for me getting it to translate to various listening devices. Since I sometimes use my Hofner bass, or a six string with a pitch shifter, or midi, I can't seem to get a hold of it. I'll have to listen in a couple of days. Thanks for your input. Squashman- thanks I'm glad you like it. Warren- thanks, yeah I tend to favor odd tunes rather than typical first thing I think of stuff. Blipp thanks I appreciate the kind words Thatsastrat-appreciate the listen. Now that you mentioned it, I can't hear anything but those darn claps. So I just remixed it and hopefully they sit a bit better. Thanks for the input. Thanks again to all Robert Anthony

Nicely done! Has a bit of that trippy/spacey vibe which I like. Mix sounds good to me too.

Just bring the highs on the hats down a good amount and compress your voice a bit more and you will have a winner on your hands.

Thanks Pcode, Ihansen and James. Dipped the highs on the hats and lowered the threshold a little on the vocals, new version up. Thanks again, Robert Anthony

OK, Computer! You captured the vibe of Radiohead quite well. The mix sounds good on my monitors, so you may have adjusted this song since earlier comments. Actually, this song sounds so similar to the song "Let Down" from OK COMPUTER that it's eerie. You certainly chose a difficult, but interesting band to emulate. I'd like to hear more from you.
